Munch Thyme is the brainchild of culinary farm-to-table activist, David Lesser. A native to Miami, Florida, David Lesser graduated from Florida International University’s School of Hospitality Management and New York City’s internationally prestigious, French Culinary Institute. He interned under the world renown, three Michelin Starred Chef and restaurateur, Jean-Georges and subsequently proceeded to lead positions in some of New York City’s most prestigious and sought after restaurants including Nougatine by Chef Jean-Georges and Scarpetta by Chef Scott Conant.
In late 2013, David received tragic news of his mother’s breast cancer diagnosis, and it was that upsetting development that brought him home to South Florida. As it turned out, this move not only dynamically impacted his views and outlook on the quality of food we eat, but it also served as a personal mission to educate South Floridians on the importance of fresh, hormone-free, locally farm raised foods. With a Mission so real and personal, Munch Thyme was born.
Munch Thyme serves the finest quality ingredients and is the first and only service of its kind to provide farm-to-table healthy meal delivery service to patrons in South Florida. Munch Thyme is based out of Verde Farms in Homestead, FL, located on a 30 acre organic farm. Weekly and seasonal menus rotate based upon what is fresh, in season, and available on the farm.
